Things I liked:
I really like the article, that highlighted some key things in Illinois. I think it was interesting because they explained how they really did not have much to bring people there, but that they were trying. The article did a really good job of explaining with lots of details the “big things” a person in town was building to attract people there. I think the author took a little bit of content that they had and really expanded it and made it interesting to read.
The second article had a lot more personality in it compared to the first article. While still being very informative, this article had some humor shine through, and I really like that. I liked how she gave recommendations and listed the people that she has talked to. I also liked the pictures in this article more than the first, it was nice that she was in some of the pictures, making it more personal.
Things I would have liked to see done better:
Although I really did like the Illinois article, I wish they would had added more images. I feel like the author did such a good job explaining things I was able to picture them in my head, but it would have been nice to see more of the “big things.”
When comparing the articles, I noticed that the second article could have gone into detail more about the experience. I feel like there were a lot of things covered on this article compared to the first article, so the author did not use as many adjectives as the first one.
Types of Cites :
When comparing the two articles, I noticed they are on very different cites, the Illinois article is on The Chicago Tribune. The aperitivo article was on a wine tasting website.
Which one I liked better :
Although I really like both of the articles, I think I liked the “A Guide to the best Aperitivo in Montalcino, Italy.” I think it was easier to read with the images corresponding to the content. I really liked the personality that came through compared to the other article.
