The Home of Purdue Blog is run by Purdue students. The purpose of the blog is to give insight to people who might be traveling, moving, and or thinking about coming to West Lafayette. Things to do, events, dining, venue, and lodging are just a number of things you can find when scrolling through the Home of Purdue Blog.

The audience would be for people who might be thinking about coming to West Lafayette. Maybe their child has just been accepted to Purdue University and they are looking for some fun things to do while they are here for their orientation. This blog wold be a great place to find some fun activities in the area.

The writing style is very exciting. There is always a picture to describe the event, so you know what to expect before you arrive. The writing is also very descriptive. They share lots of details and statistics about the event, food place, or whatever the blog is about.

There is a blog posted very frequently. There seems to be a new blog posted every 2-3 days. The Home of Purdue Blog also has a “Weekend Update” section that informs people what is going on in the area for the weekend to come.

Most all of the blog posts are written in first person. There are interviews as well, but most of the posts are written in first person.

Visuals are a big part of posts. It is easy to understand what is going on in the blog due to the picture that describes what the blogger was just explaining.
